When Trout gets on first you may as well just give him a double. He is too fast to gun down. its almost an automatic steal

A walk = a double. Even if he's hitting .350 you have a 65% chance of getting him out if you throw strikes. Dumb to ever walk Trout with first base open.

With first base open, a walk, stolen base and a single are almost the same as him hitting a solo home run. You have to not walk him.

The "worst catcher in baseball" (according to jaar) with 2 bombs today. What an awful player. I know today was a bit of a batting practice session since it was Santana facing them, but there's no reason they can't tag Haren tomorrow just as hard. They've had success against him before and he's still nursing a sore back and pitching inconsistently.

And is it bad that of all of the Rangers hitters, I have the least faith in Josh these days? With each embarrassingly bad strikeout he pisses away another million off his next deal.

Any chance Wash rewards today's players and rolls out the exact same lineup tomorrow? He should, even with Torrealba in there. I'll give him credit... 3 hits deserves another start tomorrow just to see if he can keep it up for one more game.

Really I think Weaver and Wilson are the Angels' best pitchers.We have had success against Haren.I expect us to be able to get at least 6 runs off of him tonight and take a 7 game lead in the division.As for Hamilton,I won't shed a tear if he leaves the Rangers after the season.In fact,from hat I've heard, Daniels and Nolan have no plans to sign him.Hes going to ask for a ridiculous amount and hes not worth it.We need to save the money for a top free agent starting pitcher.Besides,the Rangers have a top notch farm system and its time to start bringing them up to be starters

Just from sports talking heads in the DFW area.Yeah I know,take it for what its worth,but it stands to reason after the $150 mil for Darvish the Rangers are in no mood to hand over another $150 mil to a player.Especially when they've got such a rich farm system.IF they make a move to get a pitcher like a Lee,(if phillies sign Hamels they have to let someone go)theres no question hes out the door

The only spot in the farm that the Rangers arent "rich" in...is OF depth.

And for an organization that has Hamilton free after this year...and Cruz after next... that's kinda scary.

I'd let Cruz walk over Hamilton...but thats just me.
