I was saying Hamilton didn't deserve the 100+ million contract even when he was on fire. 9-digit players don't disappear for this long and act like they don't even care. 9-digit players don't repeatedly swing at balls in the dirt which even Vladimir Guerrero would take. I do like Josh and I appreciate what he brings to the table, but he is NOT the best player in baseball like some homers claim and I do not want him back if it means several years of 20+ million commitment.

I've already decided josh is leaving after the season.

I'm not giving up on this game, but I did have a bad feeling about this one. The matchup just wasn't a good one for us. Weaver at home versus bipolar Derek Holland on his 2nd start back against a strong right-handed lineup. Maybe the trash in their bullpen will blow it for them, assuming we can even hit bad pitching at this point.

Yes, it is understandable. But I swear that's not me. The only thing I think is overrated right now is our offense. Specifically guys with the names Kinsler, Hamilton, Young, and Cruz sewn on their backs.

The FO is going to have to think long and hard by the 31st as to what direction their going to go. It would be nice to get a Hamels or Lee, but now with the offense spuddering we may need a bat or two.

This offense has already out themselves in a hole they can't dig themselves out of.

I know Wash gets praised for how he handles the players and keys the clubhouse be laid back, but we've seen over and over that only works for so long until you lose the clubhouse. I hope that's not what's happening now.

You may very well be right. I hope he comes back because I still like his freakish athleticism, but not if it costs what is being reported. I throw 150 million at the likes of proven aces like Kershaw, Felix, and Verlander and legit hitting studs like Cabrera, Votto, and Kemp. If Josh didn't have his injury problems and he didn't have his addiction/relapse problems, and he was a more consistent hitter instead of insanely hot/ice cold, I'd feel much more comfortable with them giving him that money.

I like Windingmywatch's suggestion of Ruiz at the deadline (depending on the cost). He's a legit .300 hitter who would allow Napoli to move to 1B or DH, or even to the bench in favor of Young (depending on who was hot). Plus............ No more Torrealba!!

His athleticism is all he has. He's a physical freak who relies totally on his athletic ability. That will fade severely with age.

I also like the Scutaro idea as a bench bat/ infield sub. He's a massive upgrade over Alberto Gonzalez. I don't EVER want to see a playoff situation again like in last year's WS where Wash used Esteban German to pinch hit.

What a play be Beltre and what a pick by Young.

Acquire Ruiz and Scutaro and trade Torrealba for a hot dog vendor to be named later. Roll with a Harrison-Darvish-Lewis-(Oswalt/Harrison/Feliz) playoff rotation. I could live with that.

It is painful for us all. I'll never forget watching that unfold on tv and saying to myself "this is not really happening... Esteban German is not really about to bat".

Am on line so that means I'm bored ... we have seen literally 20 games like this one this season. If we just look at Hamilton's, Young's, Cruz' and Murphy's ABs ... we have seen those crappy swings and lack of pitch recognition hundreds of times.

Holland throwing balls in the zone. First pitch to Calliaspo was prime. Pitch that Trumbo killed. Too much strike zone. He looks like a kid again tonight.

Another one ... grooved to Trout.

Thats what I said earlier about Holland. My worry is if we have to face this Angel team in the playoffs without acquiring another ace. We may need to get C.Lee. Colby is having arm issues and Holland is just not a good match-up against them.
Very anxious to see how Darvish and Harry fare in the next two games

I'll say it again. This team needs an ass whipping and Wash can't give to em.

Bad Holland rears his ugly head again. He might be the most frustrating player on the entire team. He has games where he is dominant and brilliant and you say "there is no way we can trade him". When he's on, he has ace stuff. But then he goes out and just gets completely shelled and you just want to give up on him. He's either amazing or terrible. And you know if we keep him he will always be this way, but if we trade him he will turn into the next Cliff Lee.
