With all this said, it would be really nice if Perez could right the ship soon. He will, it's just a matter of time and experience. At least they made it look like they might attempt to come back. The team should continue to improve, if you're looking for positives.

We talked last night about my concern for Perez. If you read the DMN today and read his stats over the past 3 games, you may be more "concerned" than you were.

I know he's young, still a work in progress. But he's thrown batting practice for his last 3 outings.

Surely the only reason they did it is they were sure he'd clear waivers. Not sure how you'd know that though.

According to JD, they wanted to keep him, but due to his heavy pitch count - think he threw 79, not positive - and since he wouldn't be available for at least 3 days, they made this decision.

Personally, this makes no sense to me. If you think the guy can pitch like this in the future why would you risk letting him get picked up by another team for a song?

Oh... A few other side notes. Maybe Rios is pretty vain after all... His walk up music is I'm to sexy. I quickly forgave him for this vain choice after the triple though. Also thought it was funny that Sardinas' walk up music was the theme from teenage mutant ninja turtles. Beltre alternates between macho man and don't stop believin'.

I think their music was picked by their team mates. EA walked up to " I'm as cold as ice, willing to sacrifice"
