That last one was a good pitch.

The last one was good as well, but I was typing before the strikeout and was referring to that 2nd strike 12-6 breaking ball that Willingham was way out in front of

Just saw that Arieta has allowed 1 earned run or less in 12 of his 20 games. Held his old Oriole team to 1 run today. Pretty amazing.

Steve how do you say Mike Carp is one of the right Rangers for the Sonic Slam inning?

25 years ago today Ryan struck out his 5,000 they said. I was at that game. Still have my stub.

I was fortunate enough to be at his last no-hitter and have the signed stub.

Nothing wrong with Emily or Knox. Knox is one cooky fella. His job is to be over the top and distracting.

No sooner did Buzz say "Now let's see if a Leonys can have a real patient at bat" that Martin swung and fouled out.

Cool. I just watched that on TV.

There was 4 of us sitting together three rows back about 20 feet past the 3rd base baseman.

There was a great story about 2 kids from Baylor who were listening to the game down in Waco. In the 2nd inning, they told their buddies Nolan was getting ready to pitch his 7th no-no and they took off for Arlington.

Of course their friends thought they were crazy. But they drove like bandits, got to the stadium and saw the last 2 innings.

Think they gave their pales any grief over that one? :yahoo:

Good story. I sat in about those same seats for a Ryan start and saw Bo Jackson hit one harder out than what Ryan threw it in there. If not for that hip injury there is no telling what Bo would have done. May be one of the greatest athletes I ever saw.

Now this is really too bad:

Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, who would have been eligible to return from the disabled list on Wednesday, will instead have right knee surgery within the week and will miss the rest of the season, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.

I was typing it as he started to say it after ball 1 and then he pops the next one up after Chirinos walked in the previous AB. Then he misplays that smash with the alligator arm

Hate to hear that stuff happen. We should know.
