To the 1 annoying, chicken little poster....and to everyone else that has their panties in a bunch...

The last 2 games were started by a man that was just removed from the rotation....and a AAA callup. Not only that, but most of the bullpen innings logged...were of AAA or even AA talent. Or....from struggling veterans trying to make a playoff roster spot.

In fact, a case could be made that the ones that really did anything out of the bullpen...are the ones that are currently on the playoff roster. (Kirkman, Uehara, Ogando).

So I'll let you wear your chicken little hat with pride.... while the rest of us that actually know whats going on....watch and realize that this team is still postseason bound.

Still have a 3 game lead in the division. In fact, its the LARGEST DIVISION LEAD IN THE AL.... yet the Rangers arent going to make the postseason if they lose today. Ha!

Fact is... the Rangers have to lose at least 4 of their next 7 in order to be out of the postseason.

Starting to believe that myself.... never posts when things are going well...and rarely has anything "positive" to say.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm just frustrated as a fan, and I think my frustration is coming not from them losing the games but the manner in which they're doing so.

Hopefully tomorrow they flip the switch and start playing playoff caliber baseball.

Perfectly stated. It tells us a lot when #32 in his post game interview reminds us what their lead is. Clearly this team is looking behind them and thinks their lead is their excuse for sloppy and ineffective play on the field ... thinking they can just turn it on when the playoffs come.

With the current quality and consistency of pitching, hitting, and misplays in the field ... this team will be down 2 games in either hot BAL or hot OAK when they get back to RBIA.

The history of late season or early post season collapses are long and legendary.

If they continue to watch their lead (which means squat starting 7 Oct) and playing crappy baseball because they think what they did in April is meaningful now ... instead of playing playoff baseball now ... this team is destined to end their season earlier than in 2010 or 2011.

I'm not panicking. But if we lose today I might. And what is most troubling about the last week or so is not the pitching. Perez was awful but Feldman was actually OK, and the bullpen stiffs weren't awful (beside Lowe). Its the offense. Its putrid. And that is what worries me the most. For all of the MY rants, the even bigger piece of dead weight in the middle of the lineup is Nelson Cruz. An occasional 500 ft bomb, other than that, nothing...and a lazy RF to boot.

I said win today and everything looks better, as long as we follow it up by taking 2 of 3 from LA. But they're hot, we're not. So today is HUGE.

So one more time: Yes, the pitching was an issue these last 2 games, but the offense is downright invisible right now...and that's a massive problem going forward.

Holly Crap, Cruz is hitting 212 vs the A's this year. That's sad.

Looks like they came to play today. We have the right guy on the hill to make that early lead stand up, too.

Great to see the offense show up today. But Harry's sinker not sinking much. Needs to keep that down or the A's will slug their way right back into this one.

Is Harrison struggling as much as he appears to be on Gamecast?

Harrison has no game today. We're gonna need more crooked numbers. Of all days to look like garbage, Harrison picks his biggest start of the year.

Harrison is a ground ball pitcher. That's his bread and butter. But everything is up today. Bullpen better be ready. I don't think Harry makes it to the 6th.
