I know DD has played 2B poorly in the past, but he also did a lot of other things poorly in the past that he has improved on. Could playing 2B be just another area of vast improvement for him? Maybe his increased maturity will cause him to play 2B better as well.

This is where Wash will be missed. He would have been good for DD. Good luck to Wash
in Oakland.

Don't look now but Tolleson is becoming the de facto closer even though Banny will say different.

If Wash were here DDJ's ass would be planted on the bench and damn sure after Hamilton got back. Good riddance.

So I cannot be the only one that think it's surreal that Josh Hamilton is starting for the Rangers? It's dumb and it makes no sense, but I don't hate it...I just don't quite understand how this happened. I mean I know all the ins and out etc, but what the fuck right? Life makes no damn sense sometimes.

So the BannyRooster has DDJ in CF with Hambone's return. Nice.

I'll be watching with very tempered expectations of Josh, but interested to see what he adds to this now-clicking lineup.

Can you post the lineup? Love that DDJ gets the start over Martin.

It only makes sense in a world where a total fuck up like Hamilton can become MVP in the first place, right? If he produces at something like a .270/.325/.550/20-25hr/85RBI line I'll continue to forever laugh my ass off at the Angels.

Mitch really should be a head of Josh. It's a day game and Josh has blue eyes. And they got in to Cleveland at 3AM. Actually, idk when Josh got there.

I agree. At the rate Mitch has been producing he should be ahead of josh. However, maybe they're figuring having Mitch hitting behind him will get Josh a pitch or two to hit each at bat. If he can produce, hamilton's presence in this lineup changes the dynamic of this already clicking lineup signicantly.

Josh won the MVP hitting 5th. He did his best work in 2010 after he got slotted back there. I miss Clint Hurdle.

Oh it's extremely surreal, but then again, pretty much everything since the Fielder trade has been.

Which I still crack up when I think about how everyone was all gung-ho for, then spent the next year cussing JD, and now people are loving again. Bunch of people with great hindsight from one day to the next. After all the cussing of JD for that trade, nobody has bellied up for their helping of crow. Typical.

I'm trying not to get excited and temper my expectations, but adding a producing Hamilton to this lineup may give these guys a WC shot.

I'm starting to like Bannister. DDJ deserves to be playing. I hope they don't skip a beat with Josh in there.

Banny is probably thinking Josh will see better pitches ahead of Moreland.

Great minds en sech.

I obviously don't have any anyway to back this up, but there hasn't been a day I've been anything but 100% on board with the Fielder trade.

Didn't realize Cleveland was hot as they are.
