The Padres seem to really be willing to go for it on a consistent basis. Scott is one of the best this year but the main problem is he is a free agent after this year. I would like for us to pursue him in the off season. Mainly because it seems our best pitchers are those we acquired from somewhere else.

So the Rangers acquired an aging backup catcher (to make up for a terrible offseason acquisition), a major league LH reliever and minor league LH reliever at the deadline.

Glad I didn't expect them to really make some noise.....Glad to have that WS last year because it was pretty much pure luck and I don't think the FO really knows what they are trying to accomplish

The Rangers winning the World Series and the Mavs winning the World Series seemed very similar. Everyone wanted to play the Mavs in the 1st round. But in both cases everything came together in the playoffs.
