Screw you, Bochy!!!! 100% on you.
That was unbelievable. Why on EARTH are we intentionally walking the TYING run onto base?!?!?!
Wow.
With out a doubt. Too much Will Smith for meScrew you, Bochy!!!! 100% on you.
I had just checked in to see what was happening and saw runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs and saw that the runner on 1st was intentionally walked. I couldn't believe that we would put the tying run on base. Then I couldn't believe Smith was who we chose to finish it out. He has been a bum lately.I’m at a loss for words. I honestly don’t remember seeing a manager do something so moronic that goes against all baseball logic and basic sanity as I just saw.
Smith is toast. He shouldn’t be trusted again. Burke, Stratton, Chapman. That is it until Heaney gets moved there (and even that isn’t guaranteed to work).Yeah really thought the walk was risky. No need for the Barry Bonds treatment
But Smith just does not have the stuff
Too much tread on the tire. Need to get Heaney to the pen asap
Combination of factors:Is the team cracking under the pressure of a pennant race? Is there something going on in the clubhouse? Or, has almost everyone, including the manager, gone cold all at the same time.
Burke needs to be the 7th inning guy. He is a better pitcher than Smith, and it isn’t particularly close.I would go with Stratton and Chapman for the close out and push Smith to a 7th inning guy.
