Well you could say that with a lot of teams. rangers go into a funk at some point every year

They sure do go into funks and at the WRONG points each season

They were to the point of exchanging medicals with the Cubs. The Cubs backed off b/c of a minor concern with someone the Rangers were offering.

Not much the FO can do about that one....

That said, hearing it was Olt, Sardinas, Ramirez and Edwards....makes me kinda glad it got snubbed.

Nothing new really. Cubs most likely trying to drum up offers from other teams in order to get Rangers to provide more/better. Garza set to start tonight, but who knows?

DO NOT TRADE FOR GARZA. One sp is not going to fix the offensive struggles for Texas. 14th of 15 with risp. 0-36 when trailing after 8 innings. Worse baserunning in baseball. Don't give up any trade assets for a rental that will not make this a contending playoff team.

Me too. I dont really want to lose Edwards. When its all said and done he might be the best pitcher down in the farrm. He just keeps improving. 5 ER in his last 8 starts is not too shabby. If we trade for Garza no way he is not a part of the deal

I have to agree. I think the Garza move helps most IF we get to the post season. Pence is possibly for sale. Can we dream that JD is actively looking for that COF RH power bat or two as well?

I think there was a second cub in the original deal. Hope it is not another RISP liability.
