Ive coached LL for several years and his teams both seasons and I have had to have conversations with parents many times about being to hard on their kiddos. It has to be fun for them or they won't enjoy it near as much, and likely quit on you. Everyone has aspirations for their children but its a pipe dream really, to think your child will be grossly successful playing baseball.

I have a funny meme somewhere that shows 2 kids about 5 years old, where one kid says to the other kid "Is that your dad yelling at you from the stands again"? The other responds " yeah he thinks I'm going Pro next year". Funny stuff!

Lol yeah keep it fun teach them let them love the game. A guy I worked with pounded his boys on football since they were young. He pushed them to the point they quit football early in HS. One joined the swim team and one joined band. :-)

Really enjoyed the game tonight.... It was a close one for sure

The Twins announcing crew is very good. I enjoyed listening to those guys ( I watch on the at bat app, because I often work late). Their analysis of our team was very thorough, they covered the odor incident and made note of the fact that we have the best record in the AL since then. They also covered the story on Mazara being the best rookie so far and Profar only being up here because of the odor suspension and he played so well that we couldn't send him back down.

Santana pitched very well. I have to give him credit. On most of his strike outs, the Twins would show the grid and it was a real strike. We should be glad that he is not slated to face the Rangers next week. I know pitching match ups can change tho. The win was very nice to get because Chi Chi is going tomorrow and a lot of our good bull pen arms are used up and because of a pesky team in our division who just can't seem to lose lately.

Sounds like the same game I watched. Thanks!

Know this is a semi-dead horse. But if Prince is in the lineup, then switch him with Odor. While at it, I'd switch MM and EA, again, if he's going to be in the lineup. Which I'm beginning to question if Moreland isn't a lost cause.

MM and Prince should not be in the lineup at the same time if at all. McLemore like Buz keeps saying Prince is breaking out as if 217 avg agrees

Agree with you on Mitch. Wish they would do a platoon of Rua and Profar at first. Mitch can come in late in games for defense.

Not gonna have Rua in the lineup vs a lefty or have him pinch hit vs a LH, but we stick him in there vs a righty?

His OPS for the month of June was over .800. Considering where he was the first two months of the season, .217 is a pretty decent improvement. I still wouldn't have him hitting third, but whatever.

Give Prince credit. He ripped it for a double in the gap

We need to hope Chris Sale pitches a shut down game today.
