This team overall needs to get its act together. We were very lucky on some of the runs we got yesterday. Pitching had been good until tonight but we are underachieving right now with any team not named KC. When was our last series win other than that team?

I'm not going to get too bent out of shape about it. They are the desperate team. We just need one out of 3. Can't get swept. If we win one out of 3, we would just lose the game we earned from the Orioles series. The Astros pitching takes a significant drop off after this game. I think we will be fine, but definitely not a good start.

There is no adjustment period for what guys do at the plate who have been with the Rangers the entire year. I don't have a problem with what Lucroy and Beltran have done so far.

Why are Rua, Chirinos, and DDJ in the lineup? Did Banny just decide to forfeit this one and play for the other two? I would gladly take my chances with Mitch over Rua right now no matter which hand the pitcher throws with. Rua can't buy a hit and looks awful. And Chirinos is hitting a robust .118 against lefties. Is Lucroy tired already after catching 3 games in a row?

I can agree with what your saying but getting in at 3 AM may be why Lucroy is sitting. But Moreland needs to be out there.

I get that guys need rest here and there, but what I don't get is having 3 spares in the lineup all at once. Plug in one bench guy per game, bury him at the bottom of the lineup, and then you're not putting all of the pressure on just 5-6 guys to do all of the scoring. Our 6-9 tonight is about as light-hitting and weak as it can get on offense.
