who are these "others around him" that you claim wanted to trade Torrealba and sign Pudge? i know a bunch on here wanted that but i don't remember reading about anyone in Daniels' inner circle pushing that

Nolan Ryan and Jackie Moore, to name two. You wouldn't have read about it because that kind of talk isn't relayed to reporters. Sometimes it gets leaked to the media, but it wouldn't be good for team morale, especially to Torrealba, if it were to become public knowledge that some within the organization would rather have Pudge. Nolan is the team president, but he leaves the bulk of player decisions to Daniels. I happen to be close family friends with someone fairly high up in the organization who drops me little tidbits like that every once in a while when I see him. He doesn't tell me much, nor do I ask him to, but occasionally he'll give me a little harmless inside info behind the scenes stuff.

I know we like to be aggressive on the bases, but we have to stop taking the bats out of our big hitters hands so often.

Yeah, lately we seem to find a lot of ways to ruin potentially big innings... caught stealing, double plays, etc. I do like the aggressiveness though.

What in the flying fuck is wrong with you Ian and Elvis? Elvis is standing around ball watching with his thumb up his ass and Ian sails one over first base? :L

That was one of the worst boneheaded fielding plays I have seen in quite some time.

Ian fucked up for sure, but he had a brain fart because Elvis wasn't where he was supposed to be to turn the double play.

As TAG just said, all Ian had to do was charge at the runner and make the tag. Instead he freaked out, couldn't make up his mind, and sailed his throw to first almost into the crowd.

And while I love Elvis, he does have a tendency still to fall asleep out there from time to time.

i agree, but that was a bad call by the second base umpire. probably the only call he will make all day and he blew it pretty bad

im getting really annoyed seeing this team sleepwalk through games all the damn time! the angels should be burried, but instead they are gaining momentum. is this team becoming cocky? or are they just in a 8 week long slump? thats a long stretch of unispired baseball
