Nelly got a big piece of that ball. Our hard hit balls just aren't going yard in this stadium. I feel like we're playing in safeco.

Fanstastic AB for Cruz. It didn't work out, but he fought off several great pitches.

Yeah. I kept thinking he's going to give him one up and nelly connected, but our fly balls are just dying in this stadium.

I know he was hot, but what were his walks.

Not good. He had a 4.4 K/BB ratio ... best of his years at TEX by just a little bit. But have to agree with you Olt laying off two pitches on the second AB and then taking a walk on the last one ... that shows a good eye and patience early on. Just need to keep him from picking up bad habits from most around him.

I'm not worried about him picking up bad habits as long as the only person he listens to is named Scott Coolbaugh.

Interesting choice to use Oswalt in 7th. I guess I understand with ogando pitching two days in a row and trying to get Ross some down time.

When Oswalt pitches, I feel like it's just a matter of time until he throws a meatball right down the middle of the plate. I have literally zero confidence in him at this point.

And then again, I feel pretty much the same way about Yu and Holland too.

Let's just see how he performs in the bullpen role.

i hope and think holland will turn it around at some point this season, but if he doesnt, how long would it be until holland is out of the rotation for oswalt to get a second chance?

I don't see that happening.

I don't think that would ever happen. I think Wash would ride Holland right off a cliff before he would pull him from the rotation, just like he's been doing for Young all season.

Every time I think Napoli is about to turn it around he just doesn't quite get there. He's taking walks, but it's just not quite coming together.

You're probably right, but I just don't see him not turning it around. I probably deserve to take a shot from some of you for that, but I really think holland will get it back together.

This role may work well for Oswalt because he's able to our everything in every pitch rather than be concerned about going 6-7 innings.
