Tonight would have been an opportunity to send Smith out in the 8th and have Chapman close but there’s no thought of that happening at least for now. This tells me they are going hard at the trade deadline for a closer.

Could be. I think we seriously look at 1 maybe 2 starters before the deadline along with another bullpen arm.
