Good hustle outta Odor there.

We're at least back in a competitive position, and we've made Rodon throw a lot of pitches.

Choo you're awful

He swings at a ball 1 1/2 feet outside the zone, then semi-bitches about the second strike call. And then watches a very hitable 3rd strike go by. :noidea:

We would have the lead now, if not for the boot by our 100+ million dollar shortstop

It just pisses me off at this point to watch him, after he shot his mouth off. Considering how bad he is stinking up the place

It should be noted, for the most part, our bats are looking like April again.

Based on low scoring affairs against the likes of Gray, Kershaw, Greinke, Rodon, and Sale? They've scored 4 or more runs in 8 of the 15 games they've played this month. They're facing some really tough pitching matchups this month.

Maybe some of our luster, along with some really tough scheduling, is taking a turn back to reality.

Martin, with DeShields going down, really has gone south and we don't have a semblance of an option out there to counter.

No doubt in my mind about it.

When you're as loaded with left-handers as we are, facing the guys we're facing, it's gonna be pretty ugly.

But the fact remains, it's hard to win when you score 4 runs in your last 24+ innings.

DDJ has been a huge catalyst and was one of our better right handed hitters. His injury was in some ways more hurtful than Beltre's. This lineup is missing 1/3 of its best pieces and we've had to replace them with Martin and Gallo. I like Gallo a lot, but let's be honest. Beltre is this team's cleanup hitter. I don't even need to comment on DDJ vs Martin.

Exactly. Remember when we were just praying for .500 baseball this month because of all the injuries? Well right now, we're 11-6.

To be behind 3-2 with the way Martinez has pitched and a horrible error on top of that, is a small miracle.

I guess he's just slumping a bit. I think he lost his approach a bit when he got white hot there for a couple weeks. Surely that hitter is still in there somewhere.

MM going to other way is nice to see, that's when he's really seeing the ball well
