is It just me or does it seem like our farm system never sends guys to the major league team who stick?

Gallo has been a ranger forever. Gallo even played with lots of the old school rangers from nearly 10 years ago. The other one I can think is IKF who has been around for seemingly a long time. When is this great transition from the farm to the major leagues supposed to happen? How come I can barely think of any pitchers we have developed and sent to the majors?

lots of questions that need answers.
Gallo I agree with. Did not realize the same of IKF. I think you make a good point. However, we have seen lately a huge number of injuries that have not help change the picture.

2 things have drastically changed the game the emphasis on power (HRs) and velocity (pitching)...

They're thinking about trying to negate velocity by limiting the number of pitchers allowed on a roster. The other well until they figure out the older ways are the best ways the game is going to not be as good/exciting as it used to be...

most of our prospects have an arrival of the next couple of seasons. not exactly a state secret, they have it on the website.

Also, Gallo being here "forever" is pretty much why I'm ready to move on from him. We know what he is, and to me it's not enough to use as a centerpiece.

The last several years have seen lots of failures in those areas.

As far as a "great transition" goes, there will not be a given point in time when it happens. In fact, there will be no "great transition." The most we can look forward to is a gradual transition.

There has not really been anything that has happened since the season started that has shown that the rebuild process has been delayed or derailed. At the big league level we can see the new Adolis Garcia and the greater than expected trade value of Gibson and Kennedy, and say that we are further along than could be reasonably expected thus far.

If the Rangers want to draft a high school SS, I would be fine with this kid in the 5th round.

does that mean that the Rangers actually have a competent scouting department?
I think when those guys were scouted that they did do a good job of scouting. Over the past 10 years or so that has deteriorated it seems. Maybe they have turned that back around of late.

The sad thing is that none of those position players have made a significant impact.

To that's more about the nature of the game.

From Scott Lucas:

"Lefty Jake Latz fanned exactly one-half of his opponents. Cole Winn has a slightly lower ERA, but aside from that Latz has slightly outpitched Winn in the season's first month: more strikeouts, more swinging and called strikes, more grounders, fewer walks. That doesn't make Latz the better prospect, but it does make him someone to keep watching. Latz throws four pitches for strikes, and I don't mean that as a "good command of weak stuff" backhanded compliment."

In May we lost 21 games by 1 and 2 runs.
Seems pitching gave the team a chance to win and the offense kept coming up short. One or two hits could have won several games. close! very close!
IMO small ball still has it's place.
