I guess he can beat a bunt out. He has made improvements defensively overall but that was total lack of judgement. Lets walk it off

It really was. Need to keep the ball in front of you. Went to bed after not scoring with bases loaded and 0 outs/ Guzman did a good job in his AB as he went with the pitch. Just was unfortunate. Chirinos had no idea what a strike was on his AB.

Evan's idea of us being contenders in 2021 might be a tad optimistic. A lot of developing and trading would have to go right. Another key pitcher or two going down with TJ would make that very unrealistic. It is something to hope for though. I guess it all depends on your definition of "realistic contender" as well. Is it contending for a WC, to be a division title favorite, or to be a WS favorite.

Remember when a future player ( Mazara) is traded, he will also have to be replaced. I don't see to many future players now so Maz, Guz and Kela can stay put for a while.

Relief pitchers come & go/ebb & flow, from season to season.....If someone offers us a a deal for Kela, BANG, strike while the iron is hot IMO.

I think Kela as a closer is worth more than his return would be. Any other reliever...boom.
