I definitely disagree, having sat through a complete ass-whopping against the Dodgers in person.

Rangers took 1 of 3 in that series, and Eovaldi, Scherzer, and Montgomery didn’t pitch in the entire series. Those are the 3 starters the Dodgers would face, so I don’t place much stock in runs given up by the likes of Alex Speas.

we are going to have to deal with the bullpen this off season without fail. Chapman, Smith & Stratton are free agents. Leclerc has an option that won’t be picked up. That leaves Sborz, Burke & Anderson

Without Seager and Heim, arguably our best 2 hitters.

And we’ve scored 19 runs in our last 5 games. We had one miserable series against the Padres. They scored plenty against the Rays, Dodgers, and Astros.

I figured with Chirinos and his 7 plus ERA that the Angels and Giolito would win.

Chirinos has been solid in the past for the Rays as an opener. His main problem has been the inability to pitch deep into games. And yeah, his ERA in limited innings this year is quite poor.

But any time a team like the Braves, Rays, or Dodgers acquire a pitcher, you’ve got to figure they see something we all don’t. Just look at how good Lance Lynn looked last night.
