I am hoping the kid gets here to stay out of SP 2022. If so, maybe in his first year he experiences us making a deep run in the postseason.

Corbin Carroll goes at 16. He was one of the first guys I heard mocked to the Rangers if they decided to go under slot. Him and Rutledge, who hasn't been taken yet. So glad we didn't go that route and decided to play it straight up for the most part.

I would imagine they will send him to Spokane when that league starts next week. They usually send the HS kids to Rookie ball in Arizona and the college kids to Spokane. Hopefully, he finishes next year at High A or maybe even gets a cup of coffee in Frisco to end the year.

If we pick a HS pitcher at 41 or 50 it will be interesting to see if they sit them this year or let them go to play in Arizona. Last year's decision to sit those guys didn't pan out too well.
