I doubt it. Seems like they’re are scared of offending players. IE, Taveras and Lowe.
That kind of mentality is detrimental to winning.

There is always the possibility that Mahke and deGrom could struggle as well. If they do our second half starting pitching could be a lot worse than our first half starting pitching.

The big decision for management will be if Scherzer is sporting a 4.80 ERA when Bradford is ready.

Bradford was our best startering pitcher when he was injured. If Scherzer's ERA was close to 4.80, that would make Max about our 7th or 8th best starting pitcher, and that is not including Mahle or deGrom.

The question becomes, do they want the best starting pitchers in the rotation, or do they simply go by seniority?
You were always right on Bradford being a starter. He was much better than I ever expected so I would be disappointed if he did not get a chance to start again.
As far as Scherzer goes I would venture to say his era will be over 4. He barely had it under 4 last year.
!ets say he goes 5 and gives up 3 runs most fans might say that’s not bad. We know that is a era of 5.40 This is where I think he will be close to. I just see a mediocre pitcher coming back who has seen his better day

Here are the differences in the OPS of our batters who have played regularly this season. This is the difference between this season and their career. I got these numbers after the third inning. So it was before Smith's HR which added 19 more points to his OPS.

Seager -88
Lowe -87
Garcia -78
Heim -66
Taveras -55
Semien -36

Smith +158

Not surprised but this is quite a reduction. This is where all of our runs have disappeared

We are going to lose if the offense does not pick it up and spoil a good game by Gray.
Just amazes me how much we are down in HRs and runs scored this year compared to last year. Even our team batting average is about 30 points lower.
Just hope this picks up when Jung comes back

Tavares is killing us. Just get the ball in the air so at least we can get Semian up.

Re Leody. We shall see what happens once Carter comes back. They have some definite roster decisions ahead
