What a shocker outing by Corbin. Nice to Seager with 3 hits and a deep fly to CF warning track.

I'm not sold on Martin. He had a couple great appearances at the beginning but has been very hittable since.Armstrong has been better than I expected. All 6 of our bullpen acquisitions have been from adequate to great so far. If we can find a couple of long guys along the way, we will be set. I am not sold on either Latz or Boushley, but then 2 months ago I wasn't sold on Armstrong or Milner either. Maybe one of those 6 can transition to a long man when Sborz comes back.
Along about September, I wouldn't mind using either Rocker or Gray as a long man.
Corbin had a great outing, but it is going to take more than a great outing or two to convince me he has changed his spots.
He has given up a hit most outings, but only more than one hit, just the one outing. He gave up two runs in that outing, but he hasn't given up any earned runs other than that outing. The outing before that one he gave up a hit and 4 unearned runs, but wouldn't have even given up the hit had his fielders made the plays. It should have been a 1-2-3 inning. Batters are only hitting .212 against him this season with a .560 OPS.I'm not sold on Martin. He had a couple great appearances at the beginning but has been very hittable since.
Luke Jackson not your prototypical closer. But he is cool as a cucumber on the mound quirky constantly licking his fingers lolFrom Jared Sandler:

Milner is underrated
His back has to be hurting him more than they let onJeff Wilson addressed the Rangers silence regarding some players medical and other situations during his podcast today. Apparently, they are way overboard on some of their efforts to be secretive, at times. I think my question about why the Rangers made sure Carter got extra at bats in spring training, while now he only plays about once every three or four days. Why the feast or famine? They have asked and have not been answered, questions about what they are doing with Evan.
I wonder what they think the downside is with an open and honest approach to such things. His back has to be hurting him more than they let on
I am basing it on what I am seeing. He is all over the place and not fooling anyone at the plate. He has given up a hit most outings, but only more than one hit, just the one outing. Maybe the player is pushing this “discretion”I wonder what they think the downside is with an open and honest approach to such things.

I can't wait until Langford gets back. Maybe this offense will get a jump but we need to keep guys like Seager Smith Jung and Langford healthy.Tells you something when the Angels bring in Burke and 3 of his 4 outs are strike outs and then a pitcher with a 16+ ERA who has a 1-2-3 inning.
