Glad Speas is getting a chance. I hate to see what has become of Taylor this year. I still think he would have been better than a few of the guys we have had in the pen this year. Like Ragans and Burke, he somehow got to where he was in Bochy's dog house. I think he is a prime candidate to do better with a fresh start somewhere.

I think CY must have been very instrumental in acquiring Howard, and he is being stubborn to his own detriment about Spencer Howard.

If we trade for a starting pitcher I wonder if Bochy takes Dunning out of the rotation instead of Perez or Heaney. If that is the case, then I don't think the rotation will be any better after the trade than it is now.

I think we’re set the top 3 with Eovaldi, Dunning and Gray any starter brought in thru trade would join them with 1 or both of Heaney or Perez splitting the 5th starter spot

suppose it's possible, but Dunning is the clear #2 in the rotation right now, I can't imagine pulling him from it.

I don't see any scenario that happens.
Dunning is a top ten starting pitcher in baseball right now and has been nearly as good as Eovaldi. Think the worst case scenario for Dunning is he gets bumped down to the #3 spot if they trade for Ohtani or a guy like Snell.

Angels have wanted Duran who can play 7 positions since Day 1.
