Can Tinoco be our future closer?
No Barlow....ok
Did you hear the idiot announcers say Matt Moore looked nervous closing out the game. Had gotten 2 outs and neither of the first two batters sniffed getting on base. Well except for the CF and RF almost running into each other
Certainly, but I'd like Barlow to get it together, because he has much better stuffdidn't catch the last two innings, but I don't think I've ever seen Moore looking "nervous." he's definitely earned the right to get some 9th innings.

the report is he will have surgery today and that it requires a minimum of 6 weeks before he can start doing any baseball activity add on a couple of weeks to get back in playing form. so we're looking at mid to late August if he's luckyHoping Leodo produces. Wonder how long this IL will be for White
he seems to not be listening to Perez or anyone else but after the 1st 2-innings where he gave up 3 runs and 6 hits, he shut the Ast**s on 1 hit and a couple of walks for the next 3.1 inningshe's in the same boat as Hearn, in my opinion. good stuff but can't hit his spots.

his problem is not the quality of the pitches he throws, it is the location that hurts him. apparently after the second he started hitting the edges and was throwing with better accuracy that tempted the Ast** hitters to chase. if he would only do that to start gamesit's not a matter of listening to people. i can have 10 people give me 10 tips on how to hit my irons better; even if what they say is exactly right and I do exactly what they say, it doesn't mean I'm going to hit my irons better. if there was some sort of way you could just tell a pitcher to throw like an ace, every team would have 5 aces.
Taylor's got the arm, but his pitches with movement have too much movement and don't really fool anyone. he's shown flashes of good pitching but he's not consistent with it yet. a lot of that comes with experience, which takes time. ideally, you want to see Taylor having a strong second half of this season. to me that would demonstrate growth.
