Yes, it was. That is why I used the word "eventually." It didn't take long to go from Kinsler to Profar to Odor though.

I have a different thought on this and that is I am glad that we are seeing our young guys play. But at the same time I want to see them do well so I have a hard time with the thought process of losing out to get a good draft pick which in our case may mean absolutely nothing.

Draft picks are never a guarantee. Just pay the game in front of you because these young guys play to win as they should.

I want our young guys to do well. I don't have any problems with our veteran pitchers giving up lots of runs though. And I sure hope the Royals, Nationals, Diamondbacks, and Red Sox win a lot of games this week.

Winning the rest of our games doesn't guarantee us anything either though. When we start ST in 5 months, however many games we win this week will have no effect on the team whatsoever. The effects will wear off by the time all the players get back home next week.

The draft pick might not guarantee us an All Star, but it still leaves us with a decent chance of acquiring very good talent. We need all of that we can get.

This joke of a season is the perfect one to tank.

we need an infusion of young talent. A good draft pick is our best chance of getting it because other teams are way too stingy when it comes to actually trading their prospects.
