Series Thread: Rangers go to LAA for 4 games September 18-21

I think we start out with Solak at 2B next year and Elvis at SS. Tejeda probably plays at 3B with Apostle getting a chance to unseat Guzman at 1B. I look for an outfield of Santana, Gallo and Taveras, but White may get some playing time early if Santana is not ready. Calhoun most likely is at DH and plays in the OF 2 or 3 times each week.

Samtana will probably be shopped at next year's deadline along with Lynn.

Just my guesses based on observations.

Forgot about him somehow. He gies to 3B and Tejeda probably goes to AAA to begin with.

The reason I don't think they do that is because they met with him and told him to learn other positions. I don't think they instruct him to do that and then turn around and release him.

He will never start at any position so why bother. Might as well stay at 2B and sit on the bench or release him. Not really any other choice except a trade and that seems almost impossible

To me it is obvious they are going to allow Odor to compete for a spot next year. I just want the best player in the field or one with the most upside if we are keeping the youth movement as the priority

Tejeda had mad hops on one snag I don't think Elvis could reach. He may not be 100% ready but developing at the MLB level for this club is not a bad thing

Can anything be decided in ST that could convince anyone that Solak isn't the better answer at 2B for us? It has seemed obvious since over a year ago. ST numbers are almost completely useless.

I would like to see Tejeda continue to be groomed as SS however they see fit to do it as I really like what IKF does at 3B. Apostel right now is really overmatched. When I watched him last night he didn't have a clue what to do with those off speed pitches. I know he is young so I am not trying to kick him to the curb. What happens with the minors next baseball season will determine a lot of what happens with guys like him.
