I see nothing wrong with Mitch as a backup. I don't want to count on him being the everyday DH or the everyday 1B though. His being able to play the OF would be beneficial as well.

Maybe we better count on Prince as back up and DH and find a 1st b. Rua may be the answer but Moreland needs to go.

Um, that's kind of the point to the "curse" joke (and it's just a joke).

Nolan was here in 2010 and 2011 and everything was going well. He left under contentious circumstances and since then the entire organization has come unglued at the seams. Of course it has nothing to do with Nolan or a curse, but people joke that he put a curse on the Rangers when he left.

With his injury issue, team's goal should be to get production out of Fielder AND keep him healthy, easiest way is to DH him and at this point there isn't much he has to say about it

I don't know how Bogar likes to manage it, but they'll probably just rotate them all in and out as the DH. Maybe we could sign Victor Martinez away from DET.

His value has dropped. Perhaps someone may need a ss and we could let him go for a good return. A lot depends on Profar's return b/c Sardinas is not ready IMO. Then there is his contract that will require us absorbing some.

I really think our best chance of unloading that contract is to take a risk on Kemp. I really don't think teams are interested in Elvis like they were. I heard the Yankees aren't at all. They'll probably go after Hanley.
