What is the contract status of Garcia? I know the guy is 28 and if he is the real deal, should be loyal to us for being the team who finally gave him a shot, but I don‘t like the idea of the Yankees, dodgers, or angels drawing up a contract offer to be thrown at him the second he’s available.

Yes they would. Pretty sure they are keeping him though.

Alex Wood signed for the last 2 years for 7 million. His ERA is currently under 2. Career ERA is around 3.5

Jordan Lyles signed for 2 years for 16 million. His ERA is currently over 7. Career ERA is over 5. They both are 30 years old.

The Rangers take chances on guys who have been injured. Cory Kluber. Pitched one inning for the Rangers. They gave up Clase who is early 20’s and has a 99 mph sinker.

Maybe this new stat guy the Rangers hired will educate and beat some sense into the front office.
