I like our chances hitting a pitcher we've faced before then some kid that we've never seen. I thought the kid looked average. We made him look great. It's seemed that way for a few years now.

Its almost like they don't ever look at film on guys and I know MY said they did, but they look bad against guys they haven't seen before most of the time

We're so bad at C and 2nd. I knew we would be but it's brutal to watch. I don't expect any more than a hit a night from both positions together.

Before you added together, I was gonna say id be thrilled if we got a hit a night from c and 2b.

JPA may hit 20 hrs but it will be the in between that drives you nuts and 2nd base is gonna be a total hole in the lineup until JP gets back

For real. Our bullpen needs Scheppers and Ross badly.

Looked like the bullpen did a pretty good job the last two games against the phillies to me. Right now the rotation needs them to pitch well more than we need them in the bullpen.

I know it's not saying much but I thought Hanson pitched better than Saunders. He got the position handed to him as he did not earn it. But it won't matter once we get some of our starters back. He will be outta here.

The pen did well tues n wed. You're right. But I meant that once Darvish, Harry, Colby and eventually Holland return then tanner and Robbie can slide back to the bullpen and our pitching situation improves

I would much rather have Tepesch in the rotation than Saunders.

Ok, somebody fill me in. Having Saunders and Hanson even suit up on a major leauge team is beyond my comprehension. I know there have been injuries but this is the majors and the idea is to go out every night with at least a CHANCE of winning.

What do you want? Tepesch wasn't exactly setting the world on fire in spring training and we need pitching depth. I'd say it says something about Tepesch that the club put Martinez in the rotation and sent Tepesch to AAA.

I think the idea was that with Texas having to roll with so many young starters to begin the year, Saunders' ability to stay healthy and eat innings would be needed to save the bullpen. Plus he was cheap

If either or both of those guys can become really good starters, they're more valuable as starters. I'd rather not move them back and forth a bunch.

And one God awful game doesn't change that. Fact is, he's cannon fodder until we get some guys healthy.

Just hoping to stay within a couple games of the division lead the first month, and then once guys are back we should be in good position.
