Standard fare for Wash and Nap, Nap has a good game and its time to cool that bat on the bench, but then again Nap hasn't been hitting LHPs all year... but Young hasn't hit anybody all year but has hit lefties better

But in all fairness you can probably expect a rotating DH for the rest of the year

I was thinking that as well. Maybe he thinks it is the beginning of the season again? Remember he got out of the gate slow then turned into a beast. Hope he turns back into a beast soon.


Last night was just screwy though. Frieri NEVER gets hit, and he was hit hard last night. It was just one of those nights where the hitters were dialed in, and might have been the right conditions for the ball to carry to left.

It's been noted that Frieri slows his arm speed down when throwing the curve. Also some of the amazing horizontal movement he had earlier is not there as much.

Something else to think about, Napoli got beat up pretty good behind the plate last night even from the little I watched, that coupled with the fact he caught 5 games in a row means he probably just got a really needed night off

Plus Moreland doesn't hit LHPs at all, means Young into the lineup, preferably I'd wait to sit Kinsler until the next game but otherwise I see the logic in this

Plus I kinda figured Murphy would sit against a LHP and let Gentry in the lineup, even though Murphy has been tolerable against LHPs this year

He's batting .447 against the Angels. He's not hitting leftys this year but he knows what Wilson throws. This is a questionable move here IMO.

I understand Murphy getting the nod. He's absolutely red hot right now and IMO you don't sit a hitter that hot regardless of pitching. That said, how awesome has been to have Moreland back already?

Against LAA I would have preferred Murphy DH , Kinsler @2b ... and MY with the headphones and carrying the sideline play chart.

Would love seeing Murphy stick CJ with an 11 pitch walk. Without either Murphy or Napoli in the lineup ... who in the lineup will take a walk?
