JFC…not that anyone really cares to talk about the Falcons, ever. But the 3 QBs on their roster have completed a combined 1 NFL pass.

Sadly watching them live if they had any semblance of a QB that offense would be very good.

What happened with Mariota? There are conflicting reports about how he ended up leaving the team.

Yep. He’s season is over. Likely his last snap in a Falcon uniform. He was a bad signing. QB heavy draft coming. He’s not good enough for Atlanta to say He’s Our Guy. And he’s not shitty enough for them to have been a full fledged tank.

That's the way it looked for sure. He leaves the team. Then reports come out that he's getting season ending knee surgery. It looks like when he got benched he wondered why he was fighting through a "chronic knee" injury (that never showed up on an injury report).

Yep. He’s season is over. Likely his last snap in a Falcon uniform. He was a bad signing. QB heavy draft coming. He’s not good enough for Atlanta to say He’s Our Guy. And he’s not shitty enough for them to have been a full fledged tank.

I watched him live against the Steelers. He is bad, very bad, and it is sad for the Falcons since until that point they were trying to win. Now I would go into full tank and not win again.

We all know He was signed in Atlanta as something of a bridge QB. he was signed on a 2 year deal that was effectively a 1 year deal, so his time in Atlanta is probably over.

Still, leaving the team like that...let's just say that the next team looking for a bridge QB will think twice before signing him. It's fine to be pissed about the benching, but going about it this way will probably hurt him in the future.

Calling McCarthy great is just a bad take. If the Boys go to Tampa and beat the Bucs maybe he's adequate. That's progress. If they then go to Philadelphia and beat the Eagles there can be a conversation about him actually being good.

If they get walloped by the Bucs I'm not even sure he keeps his job.
