Not his guy...

Why take the job then? Expecting a team to be OK with basically dumping your #1 overall pick from the previous year to start a retread and what, lose a few less games and impact your draft positioning negatively? Given the current ownership, it wouldn't surprise me if the coach and/or Young are out quickly. He doesn't have the requisite patience to be an NFL owner. Carolina continues to dumpster fire.

So many issues with Carolina. Reich, IIRC, wanted Stroud for his system, had to take Young, and never adapted his system to Young's skills. They lost CmC, Moore, and Burns within a few years. Young's health should be the priority but the new head coach wants to keep his job.

Not sure how you right that ship without admitting that your team needs a 2 year full on rebuild.

Week 11 against the Rams is probably the best insertion point imo. Rams, Dolphins, Colts, Bye, Cardinals, Bills, Chargers, Bills. A good sample size and some tolerable defenses.

Whatever the truth here, horrific for every one involved. Sensational headlines like this are bad for the victim (be it the accused or accuser)

time will tell, no clue if Peppers has a history of misconduct or previous allegations against him, anyone know?

He’s due a total of $92 million in 2025 and 2026, combined. The settlement as a practical matter protects that money — and keeps the Browns tied to him for two more seasons beyond this one.

At least financially. They don’t have to play him. They do have to pay him.

Not even remotely surprised by that. He is fleecing the Browns well enough to throw money at any problem that comes up.
