It's time for the phantom IR injuries right before cutdowns! Here you have Philly's fourth-round receiver, Ainias Smith, who was in danger of not making the team, mysteriously coming up lame after the final preseason game. Smith, out of Texas A&M, had a pretty horrible camp overall but he finally started making plays at the very end. He was apparently injured last season and was still rehabbing when training camp started.

I think they're definitely on the upswing. Not sure how many wins it will translate into this season, but they're establishing a nice foundation.

QB and coaching are probably the two things that generally separate the top half of the league from the bottom half. Its a wait-and-see in Washington.

I am not convinced about the coaching in Washington right now, in fact I think it sucks. But I think the new GM and owner are a big improvement. This coaching staff will be fired in a year or two and then DC will likely take the real step forward.

RR might just go down as one of the worst talent evaluators ever. Still think he can coach. He just needs to leave the gm job to someone else.

The Washington Commanders traded DT John Ridgeway (along with a 7th rounder) to the NO Saints for a 6th rounder.

He played 31% of the defensive snaps last season and 21% of the ST.
