Good move for the Eagles - they really needed a decent #3 receiver behind Brown/Smith, they didn’t have that last year and that was a glaring hole. I guess the Commanders are viewing this season as a rebuilding year, now they are rather thin on depth at receiver, I guess they’ll build their O around Daniels in the future. Interesting that two division rivals made a trade.

Kinda kills his fantasy value though. How many targets is he going to get as the #3 in Philly? 65 WR targets last year that weren't the top 2 guys. He had 83 in a down year last season in Washington.

That reporter is the worst. His name is Elliot Shore-Parks. We have a saying in education. Beware the student with the hyphenated name. He’s gonna be an asshole.
He's notorious for being the guy who wrote the smear that Desean Jackson had gang ties, which was something Chip Kelly leaked to the press to tarnish Jackson, whom he did not want to keep as an eagle because he arrogantly thought guys like Desean Jackson and Lesean McCoy were easy to replace in the NFL.

To this day every time this reporter tweets, the comments are full of people asking him when he is going to apologize to Desean Jackson.

I don't love it. We gave up a fairly valuable pick, third round, to rent a former first round WR who we will not likely keep. It may help this season, and WR3 was considered one of the weak points on an otherwise loaded offense (right guard is the other question mark). But Philly loves those ex Penn State guys. I am telling you, Micah Parsons to Philly is going to happen at some point, Parsons clearly wants it and I think Howie will find a way.

It is weird. It's not like he's blocking some stud prospect.
There are rumblings that the new coaching staff didn't like Dotson, not sure why.

Tough call with Dotson. If they didn't get back that #5 it's kind of a ripoff I think. But, I lean towards this is a good trade for Philly. They've struggled to fill that #3 WR for a while now. If Dotson is just average for a #3 I think it is a good trade and I think he will be a at a minimum an average #3 and has upside.

Also, while Philly didn't have a clear #3 WR, guys like rookie Johnny Wilson and Brittain Covey looked like they would be able to fill a role in a committee type approach to the position.

Given that Philly plays a lot of two TE sets, I didn't see this as a huge need. I would have kept the picks. But this shows Philly is going all in this season. I would expect more trades including at the trade deadline if this is any indication.

Johnny Wilson looks to be an exceptional blocker . I think he fills that Zack Pascual role they never replaced. Dude is slow and can’t really catch though. Limited.

They play some 2 TE but not a lot because the second TE isn’t a threat as a receiver.

Yes, I think it is related to them trying to get Aiyuk, they needed more draft capital apparently to compete.

He wasn't when it was Jake Stoll, but I think Calcaterra is primarily a pass catching TE.

Daniels and Aiyuk were teammates at Arizona State before Daniels transferred, right?

And he is light in the ass and can’t block. Maybe they will be different with Kellen Moore but they were more 11 personnel the last few years.

This probably means the Eagles will cut Parris Campbell, who has been injured much of training camp anyway. He never did anything for me and has been a bust everywhere. They will still keep Covey since he is a good returner, and Wilson because he is a promising rookie who is 6'7" and has shown some flashes.

$40M per is crazy. It's just too soon for that. It only goes up a couple million per year. But, I suspect after this upcoming season Chase is not only the highest paid WR but the first one you guys are all taking in your FF drafts too. Bet this man this year and his QB too. It's going to be huge. IF...they both can stay healthy. I already have my "over" bets in on both of them

Hell yeah they were.

Daniels was great as a freshman.

Aiyuk said he’d love to play with him again. Few months ago now. There’s audio out there.
