This is probably a BS report anyway. Still, Dallas will be too good this year to trade up that far. No chance. Dak's contract, etc.

Niners isn't going to happen. Purdy fits too well in the offense, he'll be very cheap the next couple of years, and the Niners finally get to pick in the first round again after the Trey Lance disaster.

Raiders and Vikings could make some sense as they could actually end up with a top 10 pick with the way they're playing. I get why he'd want to play there since they both have some very good receiving options on the team.

Giants can't get out from under Jones's contract, but they'd probably still take Williams if they could get him, even if they had to move up to to do it. Still, why on earth would he want to play for the Giants? Not like they've got much at receiver or the oline.

Giants can move away from Jones after next season for about $22M in dead money. If he goes back to USC for 2024, that could fall in nicely I guess.

...and has very bad taste in destinations if true. Vikings/Raiders/Giants are not exactly desirable fits for quick success. Niners aren't going to ante up for him, they like a game manager on the cheap. Cowboys maybe, but would have to give up a ton of draft capital to get there.

If the report is even true. Not exactly a proven source. Interest in the Giants and Raiders would point to focus on things other than winning, best of luck with that.

I don't think this is going to be widespread. Even now, he's using this as a threat IMO more than an actual plan. How many players are going to want to postpone starting that pro career to take another year of classes?

The concept that he can make more now than in the NFL is short-sighted. Endorsements will be there in the pros as well.

Maybe (better prepared), maybe not (less years in NFL by stud year 1 starters), but the reason for staying shouldn't be to make more money in College.

Right, the 2nd contract money and endorsement money in the NFL is so big for QBs that your average Drake Maye probably shouldn't think twice about jumping in right away

I see him as too rigid with poor hips to play outside. I think his only chance is as a hybrid safety/slot corner guy. Time will tell.
