5:05? Are you on Atlantic Standard Time in Newfoundland?
It depends on the sport and the circumstances. Gambling on the NFL hurts because of the team situation. Snooker is individual and 1 specific match can make of break your career for the next 12 months. Many, many players have bet on themselves to lose early in the World Championships as an insurance against lost future earnings. I've known both players in a match bet on themselves to lose. Neither was throwing the match. It's not hypocrisy whatsoever. Insider trading is a closer comparison, which has always been illegal. If you allow players within the sport to bet on their own sport, all outcomes come into question.

I know, I know. It's a big sport in the UK and in Asia. Multiple betting scandals to boot.Snooker? WTF, lol.

This is probably a BS report anyway. Still, Dallas will be too good this year to trade up that far. No chance. Dak's contract, etc....and has very bad taste in destinations if true. Vikings/Raiders/Giants are not exactly desirable fits for quick success. Niners aren't going to ante up for him, they like a game manager on the cheap. Cowboys maybe, but would have to give up a ton of draft capital to get there.
