well i can say that i was right so far on peterson hitting a wall, and charles , and watkins

I've seen some off the chart reports on AP; he could be back next week, could be out 4-6 weeks, could be out for the year. I'll go with 4-6.

Seeing as how I have been miserable at streaming defenses thus far (week 1: Rams 0, week 2: Jets -1) I'd like to get everyone's opinion on who I should stream this week...

Options on waivers are (ordered by ESPN projection):
1. Steelers @PHI 13.2
2. Buccaneers vLA 12.5
3. Giants vWAS 12.1
4. Ravens @JAX 11.8
5. Dolphins vCLE 11.8
6. Raiders @TEN 10.3
7. Rams @TB 9.7

Or I could stick with the Jets who play at KC this week. Not the friendliest of places to play, and KC could be getting Charles back. Not a recipe for success.

My thoughts:
*Steelers defense looks the part but is still giving up chunk yards. I've been disappointed by them too many times to rely on them, even against a rookie QB.
*Bucs are an intriguing play this week. Rams haven't looked very good.
*Giants look like the most consistent group out of this bunch. But Cousins & all those weapons are a bomb ready to explode if they can get the offense clicking.
*Not liking the Ravens matchup.
*Dolphins look like a sure-streamer this week since they'll be facing Clipboard Jesus Charlie Whitehurst at home. But the fins have a suspect defense full of holes. Not sure what to think of this matchup.
*Raiders haven't shown anything but negative outings this season.
*Rams disappointed me once. And I don't like their matchup either.

Any advice?

And anyone else that I have forgotten, please feel free to chime in!
Thanks in advance! :yo:

I think the Giants are legit. Lots of new parts there, looks like they're gelling.

I had high hopes for the Bucs this year, but home to the Rams looks great.... fools gold trap?

Giants... Another thing that scares me is the fact that its a divisional game. Those are so hard to predict. Exhibit A: thinking the Jets would produce against the Bills last week. Redskins offense is loaded with talent. Should be a big test for the Giants.

Bucs... Don't know enough about this team to feel very confident. But the Rams have shown their colors. Once you shut down Gurley, the offense spirals. Britt & Austin are formidable, but nothing scary. They don't have the QB to be able to expose defenses. So this could be a solid play.

I've struck out with the same two defenses as you. I am going with the Steelers in one league, Bucs in another. Shotgun effect

I'm with Lefty on the Dolphins...and the Giants do kinda have my eye, but I'd be pretty worried using 'em. Still wayyyy early.

Putting in my request for the bucs, fins, & giants. In that order. I'm waiver #4 so I might miss on 1 or 2.

The pros for the bucs defense outweighed all the cons. They are taking on a subpar offense that has to travel cross country after an emotional win against the Seahawks. They are primed for a huge letdown.

I'm still reserved on the Giants right now. I don't really understand the hype behind them being a legit defense, at least not in fantasy land. They put up 1 measly point against a rookie QB in Dallas in week 1. Granted Dallas has a stellar O-line, still doesn't inspire confidence. But they stop the bipolar Saints in week 2 and all of the sudden they are a top defense?

I'm not buyin it lol

why not keep the waiver claim and see what is left, since your unsure why waste a claim, especially since one of those three will be there

was able to grab Matt Ryan and Fozzy Whitaker of waivers today. A little surprised I was able to get both of them.

With AD going down and Fozzy moving up with Stewart getting hurt, I might be pretty ok.

Took the wait & see approach for my defense (thanks @SteelersPride) but put in a waiver request for McKinnon. Somehow I landed McKinnon and none of the D/ST's I had my eye on were taken so I grabbed the Bucs. Surprised I was able to nab McKinnon seeing as how he will be the starter for the remainder of the season. Dropped Smith Sr.

Now my team looks like this:

QB: Rodgers, Rivers
RB: Freeman, Gordon, Jones, Jennings, McKinnon
WR: Hopkins, Benjamin, Jones Jr, Baldwin, Sanders
TE: Ebron, Walford
D/ST: Bucs
K: Gano

Feel pretty good about this team.

way late to this party, but did you consider the Cowboys DST this week at home vs Brian Hoyer led Chicago that has a terrible OL?

I plugged in Philly DST and they did well, even not considering the Royal PR TD - they were just short of a couple other defensive TDs as well last monday night.
Texans had a nice day against them in wk 1 also.
I figure even if Hoyer tosses a couple TDs, he'll throw a couple picks too.
