both on their last year I believe. I don't think they're necessarily holding out for more $$, but rather, years- maybe a little security, or perhaps changing some of that to a guarantee? Neither have much in the way of guaranteed $$ in those totals

Cooper just had the highest yardage and yds/rec of his career last season, when the browns had 5 different starting QBs. If they think they're getting 1200+ from Jeudy, they're smoking crack

Just that that's the likely reason, I'd probably do that same in their shoes, right or wrong

And honestly, I'd say Cooper has always been just about right..he'll be 'overpaid' for a year or so, and then the market passes him by. 23 million is scraps compared to what the elites will be getting now after JJ's contract. And for all his faults, Cooper could be chiseled in stone for 1K and 7-9 in 17 games, year in and year out. There's worse ways to blow 20 million in the NFL these days

well true, but he still would've hit 1K+ with even just a normal game that day. Impressive no matter what way you slice it with whack job hack job Watson, D. T. Robinson, PJ Walker and Jeff friggin Driskell being your QB 12 of 17 games

and agian, I agree, play out the contract..but I also agree, Browns commit to guaranteeing that contract..seems fair, goose and gander and all that jazz

edited--shit..Amari didn't even play week 16 and 17..VERY impressive stat compilation in that case

That's always been the case with Cooper, win ya 3-4 weeks per season, very pedestrian the rest of the games.

Just focusing on his Deshaun Watson games, he had 2 good games, 2 elite games, and 2 crappy games. Averaged over a season it would have been 133 targets, 85 catches, 1422 yards, and 6 touchdowns.
