Niners had a run of Montana, Young and Garcia. 23 years. Then the wheels fell off.
Patriots had Bledsoe and Brady for 26 years.
Packers had Favre and Rodgers for 30 years.
Not sure which is more impressive? All those title with the Patriots. The Niners getting 3 QB in a row? Or the 30 years for the Packers?
I think every franchise has suffered at some point.
Hard to fathom that the Packers have really not suffered in 3 decades.
Really ticks me off to think it may continue with Love.
Spoken like a true Bears fan. ...... :suds:

I can only imagine what Packer fans must be feeling. They run Rodgers out of town, then watch him go down. They see their 3rd QB in 30 years play error free against the league-worst and division rival Bears.

Packer fans should ask for world peace. They might get it since they get everything else.
:mad2:

Well, they lost any chance at a 1st round pick in 2024 from the Rodgers trade (was dependent on snaps). It's locked in as a 2nd rounder now.

No. I'm just making sad reference to what they just spent all off-season doing.

Looks like Jets can't catch a break at QB.

Wentz would seem to be the top guy available, for what that's worth (and he's been problematic to say the least). Simian and McCoy are out there too. They could try to poach someone off a practice squad I guess (Will Grier?).

But they only gave up a headache to get it. ....

If they win the NFC North, my guess is they'd be more pleased.

Drake London on the board ready to be traded in Guillotine
Had him in a seasonal league thought perhaps ATL would put the ball in air a bit more this yr - - - wasted pick, just dropped him for ww fodder. Some may say, but it's only been a week - - I say it's been over a yr.

The thing the 49ers and Packers have in common in those situations: the next QB up sat behind the starter for several years before starting.

Those guys got time to learn before being thrown into the fire like so many rookie QB’s nowadays.

Brady sat behind Bledsoe for a little over a year before starting.

ATL RBs had 34 touches on 48 plays.

And that's not likely to change any time soon. ..... too bad for Pitts and London - but it's no secret how Smith wants to 'run' the team. ...

The problem is that it's effective. I mean they won the game. What doesn't make any sense is using all these high picks on skill position guys on offense and then not using them. Why draft Pitts and London and even Bijan that high if you aren't going to use them? That's the part that is stupid to me.

Maybe they hope to land a real QB next draft.

They could have had 3 elite defensive prospects instead and the offense would be the same.

If you don't have a legit deep threat it doesn't work.

I bet LaFleur and Joe Barry try to force Ridder to throw and either Pitts or London has a big game this weekend.

I have to agree with Matthew Berry's analysis on Arthur Smith. He is trying his best to hide his quarterback. I'm not sure it will matter at all what other teams take away because he has no trust in his quarterback to make plays. Last year even when they were losing they still wouldn't throw the ball. Really glad I have no shares of London or Pitts in any leagues that involve money because I have no idea how you start those guys with any kind of confidence in any game because the matchups don't even matter. Hell they ran it 40 times against the 49ers last year and won.
