All in on Henry this year.
And it took him 2 years to chase Demarco Murray out of town, and that third year, they had the bright idea of splitting time with Dion Lewis..he's really only been THE guy for 5 of those 8..truly a beast
All in on Henry this year.
Just reset the draft results and confirmed it will let me lower the bench spots now... Thanks anyway!
I think that is exaggerated. He looked ok in little preseason time but I am guessing this is in practice or team scrimmages. He supposedly threw a bunch of picks to the Eagles secondary but I have also heard he has looked much better-actually the opposite. It will be a work-in-progress imo. I don't know if we ever see the old Deshaun Watson tbh. I think all that is exaggerated but I haven't paid a ton of attention to the noise.@Shanemansj13
Looking for some honesty... keep hearing blurbs that DeSean Watson does not look good. True? False? Exaggerated?

There is one Browns reporter, Zack Jackson that said he looks awful and I feel he has been the focal point of that noise.
I post on a Browns forum and there is actually a thread directly related to Joe's post. The thoughts were pretty much what I outlined. One guy blowing it up, overreaction, he hasn't looked spectacular but a work-in-progress and better recently.Thought I just saw something on Twitter earlier this week saying the offense and Watson looked a lot better with Cooper back at practice than when he was out. Couldn't find it again in the 5sec I tried
There is also an article that says Chubb will not only be a 3 down back but more involved in the passing game as well. Could have close to 8-10 targets a game in this new scheme.
They probably want to protect Gibbs from being the guy who lost them the game in his first start. Let that be Montgomery if anybody. One thing that's bugging me from last nights game-
Lions have the ball with about 5 to go and a 1 point lead.
Give to Gibbs..18 yards
Montgomery back in, 3 straight gives, and 4th down, amazingly they call a pass play which is knocked down, giving Mahommes and the Cheifs the ball, trialing by one, with 2+ minutes to go and all 3 timeouts
I said to myself, see..THIS is why Rb's are so undervalued and mean more to teams than they're given credit for by anyone. These are the situations you pay a RB real money for, to close out the game, and since they went the middle of the road option with Monty, they're gonna lose this game. Maybe should've fed that dude you blew a top 15 pick on, eh??
And then of course Toney blows it by dropping the pass that would've gotten them into FG range, penalties, Chiefs hand it back..
and then of course, on the second go around, Monty converts in 3 carries and ends the game.
F me running.
By all rights, the lack of a real RB, or at least the non use of a real RB that you have but didn't go to, SHOULD have resulted in a loss, but they got away with it
Jamaal Williams was a big loss. He was a money short yardage back and Montgomery is just not that guy. Jamaal was a great pickup for the Saints and will be a perfect compliment to Kamara. One thing that's bugging me from last nights game-

well the opposite POV of that being..if he's not that guy, or if you're not going to put that on that guy..than maybe you shouldn't have taken him in the top 15?They probably want to protect Gibbs from being the guy who lost them the game in his first start. Let that be Montgomery if anybody.
Gibbs may end up being a Barry Sanders-type back - big gain or nothing, which is basically like a pass play.
He hits holes hard, not a dancer. Love his style and don't think he was overdrafted.well the opposite POV of that being..if he's not that guy, or if you're not going to put that on that guy..than maybe you shouldn't have taken him in the top 15?
I dunno about his style and what might come, but he seemed pretty decisive to me in all but the misstep at the 9 yard line where he got tangled in his own feet trying to bounce one outside- to his credit, the lane was there, it was the right move, he just didn't execute. I don't think he'll have very many negative runs caused by dancing around in the backfield, at least not based on that very limited sample size
totally agree. I just hope they don't continue to not use him. You invested some major draft capital, use it. A couple weeks to get his feet under him..ok, fine, but use the kidHe hits holes hard, not a dancer. Love his style and don't think he was overdrafted.
