Donnie Avery (knee, hamstring) has a tenuous grip on a roster spot this season.

ESPN.com's Mike Sando lists Mike Sims-Walker, Brandon Gibson, Danny Amendola, and rookies Austin Pettis and Greg Salas as the receivers "most likely to stick" on the final roster. Avery, Danario Alexander, Mardy Gilyard, and Dominique Curry will have to turn heads in the next few weeks. It's a reminder to steer clear of Avery in fantasy drafts.

Bradford must wondering what the hell to do going from about half an option to several.

Suddenly Bradford is in an excellent situation, and all of those WRs will be fully utilized in McDaniels' quasi-spread system. They don't even mention Lance Kendricks at TE as well, whom I think will have a bigger impact for the Rams than Robert Quinn.

Any of the names above intrigue anyone? I liked Mardy Gilyard coming out, so he's a guy that I'd look at. Maybe Donnie Avery if he's completely healthy.

You name the only 2 that grab my attention Clyde. Gilyard however was someone I would have luv to snatched in the draft for return specialist and the occasional 4th WR. But if he hasn't nailed that position, then maybe i shouldn't be too excited?

Avery pending his injury is someone who is very shifty and quick... but who to drop? We have Crabs, Edwards, Ginn, Morgan & Kylie right now.... that's more than enough IMO. Not sure if i want to drop Kylie for Avery if Avery is cut.... definitely not Gilyard.

I think I remember something about Danario Alexander having good potential if he's recovered from his injury. He's 6' 5", 221lbs and had 4.46 speed. Not sure where he is after the surgery.

Alexander has some nice tools. Actually, I'd probably rather have all three over Zeigler.

I would love to keep him but he can't stay healthy. His skills has kept him on the team (PSquad). He's currently listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Raiders.

Honestly, he'll need to drop some jaws if he is to remain on our roster or even get picked up by another team.

I think Rams are "deep" at WR, the same way we have been the last few years. A bunch of guys who play at the same level, some good serviceable 2-3 WRs, who can play in this league, but no where near intimidating.

Their WRs really don't scare me.

We are "too deep" at WR as well.

Braylon, Crabtree are locks, but after that we have Morgan, Ginn, Zeigler, Williams, RoJo, Jurovich, and a bunch of new guys on top of that.

I think since we utilize Denalie Walker so much as a 2nd TE receiver, we should only carry 5 WRs on the roster. It's gonna be a tough decision. I don't even think Morgan or Ginn are locks they could get cut.

I'd be pretty surprised if we cut Morgan. Not saying impossible but I would bet a decent amount he'll be on roster (barring injury).

I would definitely take a look at Avery if he passes a physical. All of those guys should find new teams fairly easily.

I'm still not impresse with that unit. I like Sims-Walker, but he's so inconsistent. He'll look like Andre Johnson one week, and then totally disappear like Arnaz Battle the following week. Gibson is not a threat if you ask me. A blue collar guy who will be out of the league in a few... Danny is a solid / fearless slot receiver who will win a lot of 3rd down situations. I love Don Avery, but he cannot stay healthy. With him on the lineup it'll change the entire dynamic of that unit. Without him, their receiving corp is not something to be glamouring about. Gilyard is a bum!

I'd think Ginn could be in real trouble, but reports have him as our best receiver in practice lately. That'll still have to carry over to the field, but I think he's safe for now. If Williams proves he can stay healthy and be a threat in the return game, though, Ginn could be in trouble.

It sounds like Williams has been at least more productive in fielding punt returns. Williams strikes me as a better receiver, but you can't doubt Ginn's return abilities.
