Not sure on the Kevin White deal.
It would be the scenario where we re-sign Barksdale but not Britt. White is also that coveted #1 WR prospect and not a slot guy or a speed guy or a gadget guy.

I think most Rams fans know that there needs to be major work done on the offensive line. We just have to see which resources the Rams use to fix that issue.

If Cooper was there I'd draft him in a heartbeat. Not sure if Kevin White is worth using our first on him.

It is traditionally easier to find WRs in later rounds than olinemen, too, so I can easily see the Rams going oline. I believe the Rams were also rumored to be trying to move back into the first round last year to grab Martin so they certainly know that they have a need.

Sign Mike Iupati or James Carpenter to play RG
Sign Stefen Wisnewski to play C
Draft Scherff, Collins, Peat, Ogebuehi or Stanley in round 1
Draft the best LB available at #10 in round 2 (either ILB or OLB)
Draft Bryce Petty in round 3
Draft BJ Finney from Kansas State in round 5 ( can play all 5 O line positions = DEPTH)
Draft a Free Safety in round 7

WR's projected to be around late in day two and early in day three of the draft:

Nelson Aghelor
Tyler Lockett
Stefon Diggs
Austin Hill
Justin hardy
Reshard Greene
Antwan Goodley
Levi Norwood

Any of those guys would be an upgrade over Givens...plus it might allow in some cases (Lockett) for Austin to focus more on being a WR.

Right - I was just saying what the Cowboys did compared to what we did because we were comparing the draft strategy. We went for project players like Quick, Austin, Robinson, even Quinn (though we turned out well) didn't play college football the year we drafted him (which is why he fell to us) because we was suspended (if I recall correctly, I didn't fact check).

But theres also 4 years of offseasons - how can Long and Wells be the team's only move? Its not a good gameplan. That's my point!

Well we're in a bind now! They better look to free agency to some degree, cant count on the draft entirely. Its also good to have some experience there!

Heres a draft where I tried to get as many starters as I can, while still be realistic.

Your score is: 5062 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 10: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 13 (N.O.): Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State (A)
Round 3 Pick 10: Jordan Jenkins, OLB, Georgia (A-)
Round 4 Pick 13 (N.O.): Jarvis Harrison, OG, Texas A&M (B+)
Round 5 Pick 10: Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado State (A)
Round 5 Pick 13 (N.O.): Eric Rowe, CB, Utah (A)
Round 7 Pick 30: Thomas Teal, DT, North Carolina State (B-)

Cooper was available in the 1st, which could happen, if it does we need to draft him! I then took the top OT left in the second (Erik may be there too but I think he'll move into 1st as we get closer - either way there should be a OT there that can start)
Round 3 grabbed a LB that could replace our last LB. Round 4 - I took the best remaining inside linemen I've expressed I like Grayson so took him at 5. Rowe can play in the DB rotation. I just took a TE in round 7 because I didn't know where we'd be with them on draft day - but that could be a different player tbh.

Sign Dyer as UDFA RB

We don't need a RB or a WR, we have already gone that route, and I think what we have is fine! We "should" improve if, and thats a big "IF", we draft an Olineman first, than after that, maybe another Olineman, then after we have looked things over, oh I don't know, maybe go with another Olineman, and then maybe pick up some more Olineman with the rest of our picks.

You are not going to hit on all of your draft picks, you may miss with a can't miss WR, RB, or QB! What we absolutely need is at least one more good Olineman, if not 2 or 3, but let's at least get one, and the only sure way is to pick a bunch of them and 1 or 2, or maybe even 3 work out! We don't have a whole lot to lose at this point.

We've complained that we have no play makers for years, well it's irrelevant if no one is run blocking, no one is pass blocking. We've got "decent" playmakers, we need someone who knows what they are doing out there on the oline!

At this point we don't need "sexy" picks, I'm fine with the boring, the average person hasn't heard of him, kind of picks, OLINEMAN!

As they said on a Seinfeld episode, there is good naked and bad naked! Our sexy picks our "bad naked" with no oline!

Taking any Olineman from Florida State scares me, I keep having flashbacks of Alex Barron:gaah:

FSU Oline isn't great, but Tre Jackson is the one you want off it.

mtr, there is not a LB in your picks. We'd have to sacrifice one of those O-line picks for a LB.

No retro, we would need to sacrifice the DT pick for an OLB. If we choose one in the 7th, the guy I like is Reshard Cliett from USF. With the amount of turnover possible on the Rams O line, drafting 3 linemen is not a bad thing at all.
