This is a good matchup... I’m gonna roll with the Pack at home though, Goff is the main reason, not sure how he’s gonna handle the cold with that hurt thumb, plus Rodgers has been on fire, I’m thinking he does enough... But the Rams D will cause some issues, so that’s where the Rams hope lies, if they can force a couple turnovers and play conservative offense using clock and just keeping the game close ...

I have been hearing all week about the amazing Rams defense and looked at some numbers with their points allowed.

Their defense for some reason without the crowd noise is much better with the points allowed at home than they are on the road

What would the reasons be to be that much worse on the road this year? Is it because they are on the road or just some fluke thing?

Here are the numbers:

Rams points allowed against for games at home = 108 or 12.6 points scored against per game at home
Rams points allowed against for away games = 188 or 23.5 points scored against per game at away games

Basically allowing 11 more points against at away games for the Rams defense

I have a feeling the Pack will struggle with consistency in this game if they don’t get Aaron Jones going.

A real scorcher. Wonder what the Southern teams have to say about that!

Rams defense and STs will likely have to score sone points or at least give the offense easy posessions. And the RBs will have to pound the rock. Jared Goff is awful and McVay can't have enough trust in him to put the game in his hands. The thumb issue may be a blessing in disguise.
Green Bays Oline has to play fantastic and protect Rodgers enough. The Ramsey/ Adams matchup will be fantastic, imo. But Rodgers can't do with Ramsey what he did with Sherman back in 14. You have to trust your great receiver to make plays and throw the ball. Can't just not go there because you are afraid of a pick. This has the makings of a really good one. I hate both teams but obviously, the Rams has a special dark hole due to division rivalry.

Eh, despite my hatred for the Rams (as a division rival) I think I'll root for them. Never was a Rodgers fan... also just hate the Packers more lol. Crybaby Rodgers coupled with Matt LaFake...

Packers will give the Chiefs a better run for their money but I think the Chiefs are going to win regardless so whatever.

I also very much enjoy a good defensive showing and I underestimated the Rams defense big time this year, so it'd be interesting to see what they can do against the Chiefs. Yes if it's not obvious, I'm already crowning the Chiefs the AFC Winner.

Rams declared WR Cooper Kupp, QB John Wolford, OLB Terrell Lewis, OL Brian Allen, LG David Edwards, and WR Trishton Jackson inactive for the Divisional Round against Green Bay.

Perhaps more impactful than the loss of Kupp is LG Edwards' surprising absence from the team's starting lineup Saturday. Josh Reynolds, who out-snapped Van Jefferson 156-42 from the slot throughout the regular season, is expected to see an uptick in volume with Jefferson sprinkling into three-wide sets. It's obviously a 'kitchen sink' game for the Rams given its lack of available playmakers in Lambeau.
