A recent so-called NFL expert attempting to predict where the top FAs for 2020 are going to sign has Brockers headed to the Broncos and Fowler headed to the Cardinals. I believe we are going to retain both Brockers and LIttleton and let Fowler walk especially with OKo coming off a decent year and Patrick Natrez and Potite still on our roster.

Yea, Darious Williams, in the little time he had to play this year, is a keeper. He'll def be in the rotation next year spelling Troy Hill at corner.

The four FAs who were coached by Stanley at either the Broncos or the Bears and who may sign with the Rams when we let some people walk are: From Chicago- OLBs Sam Acho and Aaron Lynch; From Denver- DE Derek Wolfe and OLB Jeremiah Attaochu. Lynch is a big guy and is more of a run-stuffing DE than OLB/Edge rusher. He'd probably play DE like AD does. All of these guys are the Morgan Fox types who kick butt playing all-out all of the time. Look for any one of them to sign with the Rams.

I'm not sure we can afford both of them, can we? I def want to keep Littleton, but Brockers might have to go if he wants big money.

Here is a list of LBs that will be FAs and may be signed as back-ups. None look that appealing.

Jamie Collins, New England Patriots
Nick Kuriatkaski, Chicago Bears
David Mayo, New York Giants
Josh Bynes, Baltimore Ravens
Kamalei Carei, Tennessee Titans
Kevin Pierre_Lousi, Chicago Bears

Another list to consider. Six Edge rushers to replace Fowler if he leaves. None are at the level of Fowler.

Kyler Fackwell, Packers
Vic Beasley, Falcons
Shaq Lawson, Bills
Carl Nassib, Buccaneers
Jabaal Shears, Colts
Aaron Lynch, Bears

Dante Fowler Jr., outside linebacker. The No. 3 pick in 2015, Fowler had yet to live up to his high draft selection -- until the 2019 season. Playing on a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, Fowler proved his playmaking ability as he finished the season with a career-high 11.5 sacks, which ranked among the top 10 in the NFL. He surpassed his previous career best of eight sacks set in 2017. Fowler also forced two fumbles and had a fumble recovery. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent. -- Lindsey Thiry

Lawson is more of a 4-3 DE and has underwhelmed to this point IMO. He had his best year this past season, totaling 6.5 sacks and 32 tackles without really starting (3 way rotation mostly behind Jerry Hughes, but sometimes on the other side for Trent Murphy). He was the two way replacement (possible rushing downs and/or game plans) for Hughes.

Ramswire has an article suggesting we will be adding Chadlee Anae out of Utah as an edge rusher. Apparently, the Rams are not going to do the tag route to keep Fowler and now he is telling the press he wants to play in Atlanta for the Falcons. So, fine, see ya'. The focus is now shifting to keeping Brockers and Littleton which may or may not be a good thing as AD is now lobbying the Rams to keep both. Littleton is the guy they really want to keep long-term. Brockers may be let go as he is getting long in the tooth and it may be more of a cap move. WE shall see how this plays out.

Dante Fowler wants to go play for Atlanta, mark it down, he will be in the top 10 overpaid free agents.

Fine. Get your sorry ass on out of LA and go play for the douchbag Falcons and see how much money you can snooker out of that franchise.

And it opens the door for Rapp and Johnson to be our Safeties in the new D. McVay would do himself a favor to offer Weddle a coaching position on the D.

Let’s analyze the LBs current on the Rams:

Leonard Floyd, top 10 draft pick. Pretty good rookie year with sacks, then not so
much the years after but better against the run game. Really good athlete

Micah Kiser, special teams as a rookie and got hurt in his 2nd year. 3rd year looks promising if he stays healthy. Highly intelligent player and has a nose for the ball.

Samson Ebukam, year 3 LB on and off starter for 2 years. Average to above average EDGE against the pass. Average to below average against the run. Good athlete

Troy Reeder, started a few games. Was decent against the run but exposed against the pass. Rookie year had a pretty average year being thrown out there.

Natrez Patrick, thicker Cory Littleton here. Not sure if he’s got CL speed but another pretty good athlete in year 2.

Kenny Young, year 3 LB from the Ravens. He’s had flashes and has speed but not sure about his size for ILB.

Justin Lawler, year 2 LB coming off an injury. No idea what he has but he looked alright for a rookie early in camp last year.

Travin Howard, 6’1 220 ain’t gonna get it done no matter how great an athlete.

Ogbo Oko, year 2 pretty solid OLB that came on when healthy. Pretty good athlete

Jachai Polite, crazy what happened to this guy. Was pretty dominate in the SEC and projected 1st rounder. Then the combine happened and he just dropped off the face of the earth. Loads of talent and a helluva athlete.
