These firings might have something to do with the OC from the Browns. he probably wants to bring his own people.

Hope so, but that better mean its a done deal. Seems odd to fire these guys before a new OC is announced. You'd think we'd at least give them a choice to keep or fire who they wanted. Especially firing the son of our O-line coach, can't imagine dad is too happy about that...

Fisher said Zurlein will have competition next year. I say we get that Florida State kicker and be done with "Legatron".

Aguayo certainly seems like the safest bet for a rookie kicker in quite a while.

I think the Zuerlein train has run its course. Perhaps we will have a new kicker next year.

After all the games we lost because Zurlein couldn't make a fucking kick, I'd gladly use a 3rd or 4th on him.

I wouldn't use that high of a pick. A 6th maybe, otherwise just invite some UDFAs to camp. There are plenty of reliable starting kickers in the league currently that went undrafted. CBS is only projecting 3 kickers to potentially be drafted. Aguayo (2-3 round, doubt he goes that early), Fairbairn (UCLA, 6-7 round) and Morgan (Georgia, 6-7 round). Aguayo and Fairbairn appear to be the 2 most desirable. Martin (Duke) and Oberkrom (TCU) are also decent options.

More bad news, Rams fans: Reggie Bush sues St. Louis over injury
4a13720f-5a57-4b84-8924-18c9a34da7f5_Rohrbach100.jpg
By Ben Rohrbach54 minutes
San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush (23) runs with the ball as St. Louis Rams linebacker Daren Bates pursues …

After suffering a season-ending ACL injury when slipping on concrete surrounding the field at Edward Jones Stadium in a Week 8 loss to the Rams and hiring an attorney shortly thereafter, San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush has officially filed a lawsuit against the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.

[Yahoo Daily Fantasy: $10 could win you $15K in our $150K wild-card contest]

The entirety of the lawsuit, which describes the surface as a "concrete ring of death," is available online. The former No. 2 overall pick's attorneys claim the CVC and St. Louis REgional Convention and Sports Complex "showed complete indifference to or conscious disregard for the safety of Mr. Bush and others."

Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown had suffered an injury at the stadium when slipping on the concrete and hitting his shoulder on a padded wall a week prior to Bush's ACL tear. Two weeks after Bush's injury, prior to the Rams' next home game, the CVC covered the concrete with a rubberized material.

Bush is seeking punitive damages as well as lawyers' fees "in excess of $25,000."

In a related note, the city of St. Louis has long been attempting to appease Rams owner Stan Kroenke with an offer of significant public funding for a new stadium in hopes of keeping the team in Missouri. The Rams, San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders all applied for relocation to Los Angeles earlier this week.

Bush's lawsuit opens the possibility of an absolute worst-case scenario for St. Louis. The people could lose their team and the CVC — a government entity — could lose this lawsuit, burdening the taxpayers anyhow.

Was that before or after he had them, after they would be worth some cash!

ST. LOUIS –- Rams DT Aaron Donaldicon-article-link.gif and P Johnny Hekkericon-article-link.gif have been named First-Team All-Pro by The Associated Press.

Donald recorded 11.0 sacks in 2015, which tied him for the NFL lead among interior linemen. He also posted 22 tackles for loss (according to Rams coaches’ review) as well as 49 quarterback pressures and 29 quarterback hits.

Donald is just the third Rams defensive tackle to reach double digits in sacks since the NFL began recognizing the statistic in 1982. He finished the year one sack shy of surpassing D’Marco Farr for the most in franchise history by an interior lineman. A second-year pro, Donald is headed to his second Pro Bowl but earned All-Pro honors for the first time in his career.

Hekker’s recognition comes after turning in one of the best single-season punting performances in NFL history. He led the league in punts (96), gross punting average (47.9), net punting average (43.7) and punts downed inside the opponents’ 20 yard-line (41). Since the NFL began tracking punts downed inside the opponents’ 20, Hekker is the only punter to lead the league in that category as well as gross and net average in the same season.

Hekker also earned the honor following a 2013 season in which he set the NFL single-season record for net punting average (44.2). Hekker was also a second-team All-Pro selection in 2014.

Hekker surprised me. I thought he was having a crappy year and then he received this award. Of course, I didn't see many games this year because I was WORKING. Donald is no surprise! I hope one or all of Kevin Green, Kurt Warner, and O. Pace make it this year to the HOF. That would alleviate the suffering we Rams fans endured with yet another losing season with Fish-boy.

Favre is a no brainer inductee, I think that Pace and Warner will go in as well. There's some guys I'm not sure about on the list that had really good careers but not sure if they are HoF worthy. I don't see Terrell Davis ever making it, just because he was great for a few years but injuries caught up to him and forced him out of the league shortly after those two Denver Super Bowl wins.

:agree:

But either way, you got to admit UVA Guy, there could be no better initials for a Running Back!

Oh absolutely! I'd also love for there to be a CB with the initials INT.
