I thought I read a few days ago about trading Woods was a possibility to free up some cap space. Think trading him to Jacksonville for a pick or two would be a good idea since we’re usually good at drafting day two receivers?

It said the Rams were receiving calls on Woods, that was all. A lot of players get calls on.

I doubt if Woods goes anywhere unless the Rams get such a fabulous offer that is just too good to NOT move one of the more dependable receivers we have.

Good news on the Cap front. I saw the same update on the Rams cap numbers for the next two years that BattleLyon posted. I believe the Rams FO and McSnead have learned their lesson and are getting their financial house in order now instead of continuing down that destructive big-contract path. That will be really solid for the Rams going forward.

Rams continue to sign players to ridiculous contracts.

$16M per year for Floyd when he only had one good season playing alongside Donald is too much, especially for a team in cap hell.

So, they won’t pay Fowler 15M per season when he was much more consistent, but pay Floyd $16M per season with 1 good season.

someone please explain the rationale here.

You can either pay Floyd $16/year and get an edge who really can do it all.. including stuff the run or you can roll the dice and try to find another 1 yr/$8 million deal which I thought they would. But I sure as hell welcome Floyd back. Interested in how they work the cap tho

Only 8 players in the NFL had more sacks in him. They might have more but are they solid versus the run too.
