Seems to me the direction is to protect Goff's blindside, move Robinson to guard to improve the run game, get Goff a young WR that catches the ball-which in turn reduces the number of dropped passes. Let McVay work his magic on the offensive end. If Woods becomes a low end #1 or better, then his contract is a steal. If he doesn't perform, we're only on the hook for $15 in guaranteed money over 5 years. That's chump change for a #2 WR.
With the additional cap space created by Kendricks, Barnes and Sims getting cut, plus Hayes being traded, we can make sure Donald, Ogletree and Gurley aren't going anywhere.
And we could still trade Johnson and create additional cap space + receive draft compensation. I'm liking the direction the FO is taking the team so far.
