That's cap space for top 51 plus the draft pool without re-setting the top 51. The draft pool will slot into that top 51, resulting in the bottom line number of $1.775M in cap space. The impact of the draft pool on the top 51 is only about $1M projected.
Ishmael Adams, who was originally listed as an UDFA cornerback signing for the Rams, did not pass his physical.
The Rams should be on the phone with Franklin's agent ASAP!
Fast forward two seasons later, and Franklin became a liability in pass blocking.
For what it's worth, Orlando Franklin allowed more QB hurries & QB hits than all but 4 guards last year, per @PFF.
Franklin was one of the top guards on the market in 2015. After playing at a high level and missing just one game in his four years with the Broncos, the 29-year-old had underwhelmed in his two years with the Chargers. He missed six games in 2015, and even though he started every game last season, he was beat up and played poorly, hence a 47.5 overall grade, the worst grade among Chargers’ linemen.
Chiefs cut WR Jeremy Maclin to save money under the cap.
You called it 5 years earlyAlso, expect to see Desean Jackson in a Rams uniform. He was born and raised in LA and loves to play for McVay, Olson, and Lafleur and McVay wants him to come to LA.
LOL, I went on a rant.Seriously, people are complaining about signing Whitworth, one of the very best at his position. Who cares if he is 35, show me where his play is declining. I didn't think so. Nobody declared him the future, just a great veteran who will whip these young lineman into shape by setting an example of how to be professional, how to last long in this league, and how to play at an elite level. Every position on the field need veteran leadership to go hand and hand iwith coaching. When Faulk came here, he came with baggage but the Faulk we know provided that veteran leadership calling teammates out as well as teaching them. Who in the hell could we have gotten that is better than Whitworth.
The Front office has one job every offseason, improve the team, even if that means, rented players, or short term answers.
too bad they couldn't get him back then. whould've saved the Rams the draft picks required to get Watkins and Cooks to try and fill that role Jackson would've done. You called it 5 years early
you were the one that loved the Whit signing. I thought it was good.LOL, I went on a rant.
I don’t think Whit has been great nor do I think he’s been bad. I think his leadership has been great. Law of averages for a 35+ year old Olineman to maintain that kind of play is beyond normal. I hope it doesn’t finally come back to bite us.LOL, I went on a rant.
