Looks like Brian Hoyer is going to the Niners. I think Cousins could still end up there next year when he is a free agent. That would be a smart move by the Niners they won't have to give up a draft pick next year.

There goes our one easy win of the season......
If you recall, their only two wins last year were both against the Rams. :L

Believe I can't forget, too many 49er fans around these parts that wont let me forget.

Yeah, that was bad, but the 4th quarter tank job at home was just as unbearable for me.

If you recall, we had a 21-7 lead with just 6 1/2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and the Niners were facing a 3rd and 21, and somehow we still managed to lose that game 21-22 in regulation. :L :gaah:

Crap That's right.......Gee thanks Vita for reminding me....I was sitting here drinking my 7th brewskie minding my own business, googling a bunch of stupid funny stuff, digesting a nice slice of home made peach pie, thinking happy thoughts and you have to go and remind me that the Rams lost twice to the filthy niners last season....................:gaah:

It should be official once the legal tampering period ends today at 4pm ET.

Report: Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth expected to sign with LA Rams

Whitworth was by far the best OL man available. He is a beast!! Great move by McVay. He graded out the 2nd best OT in the NFL just behind Williams of Washington last year. But Whitworth actually had the better pass blocking grade. So in a nut shell we just landed the best pass blocking tackle in the NFL last year.

So we be paying a 35 year old to play LT $12 million until he's 38.

Looks like a good retirement package for Whitworth.

He's 35 years old, but oh well I'm good with it! We still have the knucklehead if he falters!

This is a good sign! We usually sit on our hands the first few days of free agency.

Yeah he's 35 but he was the best tackle in the NFL last year. I think the contract is set up if you get two good years out of him you can probably release him the third year.

I saw a stat where he has given up 38 quarterback pressures the last two years combined. Robinson had 40 last year.

It's one more year than I wanted to give him, but I was thinking it would take a 3 year deal to pry him from the Bengals.

I like this part of the article

This is a massive loss for the Bengals as the former LSU Tiger plays a tremendous role on the Bengals’ roster, not only as the team’s best offensive lineman, but also as a leader and strong veteran presence.

I hope he doesn't turn out to be like so many other older vets that the Rams have signed to fix the OL.

if they can get 2 years out of him and find someone he can mentor to replace him, it will be worth it.

let's all hope he doesn't start falling apart the minute he puts on the Ram jersey like many others in the past.

Could Robert Quinn be a Cap casualty? Would save 9m.
