Have to agree with cup here that blocking more shots than your goalie will be copied by other teams in the future. I believe the rag players had 26 blocked shots and padquist made 21 saves.
It is similar to teams parking the bus in front of their goal (meaning having all their players inside the 18 yard box) in soccer and hit on the counter attack. Many teams do this in the EPL when playing the team I follow (Arsenal) and it gets very frustrating at times but they do find a way to break it down/get shots through.

Blocking shots, whether we like it or not, is part of the game and the Devils have to find some way to get the pucks past guys blocking the shot.

there was such an uproar about this game....but why? thats their defense right? its part of hockey no?

i wonder who has more saves this season the rangers defense or lundqvist. count goals scored against both of them if the rangers have a better sv % should they get the veznia?

like i said im all for shot blocking but its too much way too much.
