I would say Shaun Alexander and Terrell Davis would be comparable and yes Alexander had more TDs in that 4 year stretch, he also had more carries than Davis I think. Didn't look it up, just going from memory.

But yes, I would not call Alexander overrated or suggest that he may not be as good as his numbers because he played in a great system. That would be ridiculous.

And you can't dispute Davis' post season success.

But none of that has anything to do with the original point.

And I said one thing, that if you think Davis is overrated, or was the product of a system, you are clueless.

And how have I said anything about the content of this thread past the OP? I didn't read a single response until after my first post in it. Why read a thread meant only to troll someone? Why don't you re-read my responses and see I'm only questioning making a whole new thread simply to attack someone over a post they made in another thread. If you are defending him for doing that then you are also part of the problem. There is NO time when that is ok and I would say the same if it was a Seahawk fan doing it to a Bronco or SF fan. How can you not see that?

My main reason in mentioning Shaun Alexander is because it appears that Terrell Davis gets hall of fame consideration over an impressive 4 year stretch when Shaun Alexander had an equally impressive 4 year stretch (plus some) and has dropped off the face of the football planet. It is just a major contradiction to me. It would almost appear as if Alexander would have been better off having an injury like Davis after his 2005 season, then he probably would've gone out as a hero. He did have some pretty bad injuries after 2005 but managed to play through some of them.

In terms of natural ability, Lynch is far, far superior to Shaun Alexander and if Lynch had Alexander's offensive line he would have had much superior stats than Alexander did.

maybe 3 different poster have discounted the Denver Defense and their post season play because thy said San Diego and New England were weak teams.


This same cast of future ESPN analysts, also keep throwing out the idea that Denvers offense is overrated because they "played really weak defenses and use total D as their stat of proof, showing an ignorance of the more important scoring Defense stat because they are either clueless, or choose to ignore it because it doesn't prove their point.
